Kendall Jenner might be one of the world’s most highly sought after supermodels, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have the same insecurities as the rest of us.
In a recent addition to her app, Kenny opens up about her struggle with acne and how she dealt with it. Cos’ ain’t nobody got time for pimples.
"I started having skin issues around the 8th or 9th grade," she writes.
"I remember...my older sisters always told me to keep my hands off my face and to never pick."
Kendall then got even more real about her problem skin, admitting that it totally affected her self-esteem.
"But, where it really impacted me was how self-conscious I became about it. It completely ruined my self-esteem. I wouldn't even look at people when I talked to them. I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face," Kendall recalls and admits that it would often make her cry.
These days Kendall has her acne under control and added that she "began doing Laser Genesis with her "really incredible dermatologist.”
But like all of us, perfectly ~flawless~ skin didn’t just happen overnight. “It wasn't anything that happened overnight. Even after things started to clear up, it took a solid amount of time to be okay with my skin and gain back my confidence...I realized that it's a part of life for some people and it doesn't define who you are." Kendall concluded.
