Is this weird makeup tool the new Beautyblender?

All signs point to yes.

What is a Silisponge? And is it the new Beautyblender?

Upon first glance, it’s not entirely obvious what the new Molly Cosmetics Silisponge does. Is it a breast implant? Or perhaps a gel-like substance that unclogs pores?

Answer: none of the above!

The Silisponge is, in fact, a fun new way to apply foundation.

Basically, this weird inventive new makeup tool is similar to a Beautyblender, except it doesn’t absorb any product. (Pretty nifty, huh!)

According to Molly Cosmetics’ Instagram page:

“The foundation needed is literally just half the amount compared to directly using brush or sponge. Spreading product with it will take some getting used to, final blending can always be finished with oval brush or usual sponge (for example Beautyblender), that means washing the oval brush or the sponge will be minimized and they will last a whole lot longer. It is ideal for people who don't like messy fingers during makeup.”

Here it is in action.

It’s easy to clean, too!

We’re more than willing to give the Silisponge a try. Anything that makes our foundation last longer is a win in our books!
