The band made the heart-breaking announcement via Instagram but tbh, the whole thing reeeeeeeks of shade.

Okay people, let’s dissect!

First of all, it looks like Camila didn’t even have the decency to tell her band-mates that she was leaving herself, as the message says "we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony."

Dayum! That is a dodgy move to play on your band-mates of four and a half years!

No reasoning for her departure was given; perhaps coz Cammy wasn’t the one to tell the other girls that she was leaving...

Secondly, their goodbye to Camila was mega blunt: "We wish her well." That’s it? That’s all you have to say to your girl!?

The remaining four members, Ally, Normani, Dinah and Lauren thanked Harmonizers for standing by them and confirmed that they will be "moving forward with the four” of them. So... Fourth Harmony?

"We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavours.”

Erm, is this suggesting that Camila isn’t a strong and committed woman? Ouch!

This shock announcement comes just days after band member Lauren was caught in possession of marijuana and was forced to miss a performance in Brazil.

We wonder if this was a cause of the dispute that to led to Camila’s exit?

There has been no word from Camila’s camp as of yet, but earlier today she posted this tweet:

Was that a warning? Is she stopping coz she’s had enough?

We low-key always had a hunch that Camila would be the first to go as her solo career has been pretty damn successful so far. Her duet with Shawn Mendes, 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' went Gold here in Australia and Platinum in the US and her most recent track 'Bad Things' with Machine Gun Kelly currently sits at number 10 in the US.

While we always knew this day would come, we never thought that Camila would leave on such shady circumstances. We're hoping that she'll come out with a sweet statement soon!

In the meantime, we'll just cry softly into a pillow...
