Ariana Grande and Big Sean have been pretty quiet about their rumoured romance – until now.

Rapper Big Sean has dropped a couple of hints to MTV that he and Ariana Grandeare actually dating.

In a recent chat Big Sean kinda confirmed the relationship by referencing their "great chemistry" when they performed together at the White House.

"I performed there with Ariana, so that was an honour. [We] make a lot of music together and the chemistry between me and her when we work is great."

Gushing about his new girl, Big Sean continued: "I feel like her voice is crazy, [just] that that big voice comes out of her is insane... I was probably one of the first people to tweet about her music; me and her been friends for years before anything else."

Before anything else, huh? But what about that backstage hand-holding – did he care that we all saw that private moment? "I have no problem with it," he replied with a grin.

Last month Ariana was quizzed about her relationship with Big Sean when she visited On Air With Ryan Seacrest, but her response was a little more cryptic.

"I don't know what to say, Ryan. Why are you doing this me? I'll tell you when we're not on the air. I trust you. I've known you a long time. I don't know about these millions of people listening in right now," she said at the time.

The rumours all kicked off when a source spotted Ariana and Big Sean getting cosy on a cinema date and escalated when the above footage became available. Yep, that’s them casually holding hands backstage at the VMAs.

Big Sean was recently engaged to Glee's Naya Rivera but the pair split in April after he "made the difficult decision to call the wedding off." Soon after, Naya got married in secret to Ryan Dorsey in Mexico. Ariana split from Janoskians’ Jai Brooks after the pair reconciled following her relationship with The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes.
