She’s known as the famous dance teacher that taught Maddie Zeigler but thinks are looking A LOT different for Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller, who has been sentenced to one year behind bars.
Pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud and money laundering last year, a federal judge ordered the reality star to cop a huge US $40,000 fine, a US $120,000 judgement, and she must spend two years on probation after she’s released from the slammer.
According to prosecutors, Abby, who is known for her fiery AF personality on the hit show, tried to cheat creditors by hiding around US $775,000 income while her famous dance studio files for bankruptcy.
They also reckon she brought over a whopping $120,000 worth of Aussie currency into the US without reporting it (you’re only allowed to bring $10,000 without declaring it to customs).
Speaking to WTAE as she left the court house, she said to reporters,
“Live and learn,” adding, "I feel relieved. I feel peaceful."
The 50-year-old announced back in March that she was leaving Dance Moms for good, with US Dancing with the Stars coach Cheryl Burke.
