It's safe to say that a lot of sh-t went down in America yesterday regarding the presidential election.
Regardless of Hillary Clinton winning the ~popular vote~ she wasn't elected president, instead, leaving millions of people completely shook at their official 45th president, Donald Trump.
Many celebrities have made their voice heard, before and after the election, with the majority supporting Hillary. One of her main supporters was Demi Lovato, who has never been apologetic of her #real thoughts and feelings. But, she's just come out to publicly apologise about an insensitive tweet she made during the election.
In an attempt to ~lighten~ the mood yesterday, she made a joke that didn't sit well with a lot of people, as it reflected Trump's infamous "grab her by the p-ssy" comment he made. She tweeted:
"Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree and grab some p-ssy." Yikes.
She deleted the tweet shortly after posting it, coz she received a helluva lot of hate.
Her apology, "I apologize for the joke I made earlier.. seemed to offend some people. Just making light of the election 😕," actually received a lot of support from fans.
"@ddlovato You don't have apologize for nothing, your just make a joke! The people are so bad," one fan tweeted her.
One even proclaimed, "we still love you."
It's pretty safe to say that emotions are running HIGH right now. Maybe the joke was too soon?
