Demi Lovato attended the 2017 Grammy Awards as a first-time nominee and although she didn't win the golden statue, it was still a major night for her. She gave an amazing performance and even brought a very special date with her for the big night: her step-dad, Eddie De La Garza.
When Demi was on the red carpet, she caught up with Entertainment Tonight and proudly gushed over bringing her dad as her date, and he couldn't help but reveal just how happy he is for Demi.
"I'm very proud. Very proud and excited. I'm just trying to hold back tears, but I'm doing alright," Eddie said.
OK, now how precious is that?! Demi — who had a strained relationship with her biological father — has been very vocal about her love and appreciation for Eddie in the past, even taking to Twitter once to let the world know just how great her dad is.
Last year, the "Confident" singer brought her then-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama as her plus one to the big show, which just so happened to be the very first time she ever attended the Grammys.
Bringing family members as a date to a big awards show is always a sweet option, since it not only serves as a comfort for the celeb attending to have someone from home by their side, but it allows for some truly precious pics to be snapped. We're sure Demi and Eddie will never forget this night!
