DOLLY chats to Britt Robertson

DOLLY caught up with Hollywood actress Britt Robertson to find out a little about her new movie, Avalon High.

*DOLLY* caught up with 20-year-old Hollywood actress Britt Robertson to find out a little about her new movie, *Avalon High*.

You might recognise Britt from her previous roles on The Alyson Stoner Project, Power Rangers Time Force and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

What was your favourite scene to film?
I loved all the sword fighting. We were on a beach and it was freezing cold and we were in armour so it was crazy, but unlike anything else I've ever done. I like experiencing new things so I'm happy we got to do that!

Which character were you closest to on-set?
I spent a lot of time with Gregg Sulkin and Joey Pollari. Joey is my best friend in the movie and Gregg played my love interest, so I spent a lot of time with both of them.

How did you guys kill time between takes?
Joey and I would always make up songs because we love singing. We had like pseudo rapper names — he was Joe Toe and I was B Rob. So we were pretty ghetto, but it was fun!

Would you ever consider a career in rap?
Probably not. I'm not good at it, but it was a fun time.

The movie is based on a legend, so if you could live in any era which would you live in and why?
I would love to have lived in an era that has a distinct feel. I was born in the '90s and I just feel that there is nothing really distinct about the '90s. I don't know who was cool or what you wore in the '90s, but I would like to have lived in the '50s or the '40s!

Were you anything like Allie in high school?
There are some similarities. Allie had to be really good at getting to know people and she had to get used to moving schools and adapting to new situations. Because I was acting at a young age I was moving pretty frequently and had to develop that same sort of skill. I guess that's how I related to her.

What is your best body confidence tip?
Feel comfortable with what you like to do or are passionate about — you will be more confident.

Do you have any tips for DOLLY readers who want to make it in Hollywood?
Just keep pursuing it; don't let people beat you down. Ten people may say no but one person could say yes. Stay persistent and keep on at it!

What's next for you?
I just finished a series in America called Urban Express and I have another film coming out in April.

Which actor or actress would you most like to work with?
Hmm, that's hard. I've always loved Meryl Streep. I'd love to work with her at some point.

Avalon High premieres on Saturday, January 22 at 6.30pm on Disney.
