Ed Sheeran spills on Harry Styles’ new album

A couple of weeks ago, it was 3000% confirmed by the CEO of Columbia Records that Harry Styles will be dropping his debut album V soon.

While we’re all DYING to hear it, Harry’s friend and musical comrade, Ed Sheeran has revealed that he has already heard the whole album… not that we’re jealous or anything.

During an Instagram live chat, the ’Shape of You’ singer was asked if he knew when Hazza’s album would be released, to which he responded: ”Maybe.”

He was then asked if he had heard the One Direction singer’s first solo album, and his answer was obvs ”yes, it’s great.”

Ed also dished on Harry’s upcoming album in a recent interview with Heat magazine.

"I've heard a little bit," Sheeran told the UK publication. "It really shows him off as an artist and a singer, which is what it was always going to be. I can't say too much about it as it's not my project, and I've got no idea when it's coming out. It's quality."

Harry and Eddy have been musical mates for years; Haz even gone on record listing one of Ed’s songs as his favourite tune of all time, so we’re not at all surprised that he flicked his album to Ed to have a listen.

While Ed has had the full blow-by-blow, we’re thinking that Harry’s other pal Nick Grimshaw won’t be too pleased as he recently dragged Harry for neglecting to give him a listen.

"I was meant to hear it on Sunday,” the radio host admitted on his show. ”[Harry said] 'I'll come over on Sunday, do you want to hear it?' and I said 'yeah, I'd love to hear it, I'll get my mom to make a roast.'"

Then he revealed, "Did he come? No! Did my mom make him potatoes with goose fat? Yes, she did. She was like, 'What time is Harry coming?' I said, 'I don't know!'"

To be fair, Ed Sheeran is a song writing ~genius~ so we understand why Haz went to him for advice.

Anyways, the CEO of Columbia Records, Rob Stringer revealed that the album is ”not far away from being ready,” so hopefully we’ll have it in our hot little hands V soon!
