Before you go crying into your pillow, hear us out.
Unlike Justin Bieber who is still gone from Instagram (in fact, he recently said it was for the devil), and Kendall Jenner who took a solid week away from the app, Gigi Hadid is taking her own type of break.
Joining her gal pals, Lena Dunham, Ruby Rose and Zoe Kravitz at Reebok's #PerfectNever women's empowerment panel discussion in New York City on Wednesday, Gigi admitted that self-defence comes in ~many~ forms, but one that we all need to exercise more is social media self-defence.
All of the girls admitted to having anxiety over being online, and Gigi revealed, "If you don’t like it [her social media], don’t follow me, don’t watch me, cause I’m not going anywhere."
BUT, she is going somewhere...
Over Christmas and New Years, she has decided to get off Instagram for a month. She said, "I'm not deleting my account," she said. "I'm just taking the app off my phone."
Phew, so her account will still be there for us to stalk, there just won't be anything new for a while. And don't worry, she plans on making her #NewYearNewMe comeback in 2017.
