We caught up with Nathan ahead of the release of his latest flick, Dolphin Tale 2...

16-year-old Nathan Gamble has a pretty impressive resume! Between his appearances in The Dark Knight, Marley & Me and The Mist, he’s established himself as one to watch in the biz.

We caught up with Nathan ahead of the release of his latest flick, Dolphin Tale 2...

We can’t wait to see Dolphin Tale 2, tell us a bit about your character.

Sawyer has definitely grown between the two films. In the first Dolphin Tale, Sawyer was very shy and very reserved. In the sequel, though, he is more outgoing and social. He is now an employee at the Aquarium, and he loves every second of it.

Did you have to do any training to work with dolphins?

For both films, we had at least two weeks of training with dolphins. We had to practice certain tricks with Winter many times, so that she would be used to them when we actually filmed We also did some swim training before the start of shooting.

What’s the funniest behind-the-scenes moment from filming?

Harry was always cracking jokes between scenes and during scenes. It was always so hard to stay in characterbecause he was always trying to make us laugh! Harry is one of the funniest, nicest, and kindest guys I know.

How did you get into acting?

When I was six, I got an agent and one of my first auditions was for a movie called Babel. I was extremely blessed to get that role, and during the filming, one of the producers introduced me to someone who would eventually become my manager. She got me into the business and I have never looked back since.

You’ve been in a lot of big name movies, who’s the coolest celebrity you’ve met so far?

I recently just met one of my heroes. I went to the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards and so did Super Bowl winning quarterback Russell Wilson. I got a picture with him and it is without a doubt the highlight of my life.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

The best piece of advice that I have ever gotten was from Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, the director of Babel. He told me that less is more. That is so true when comes to acting.

Do you find it hard to balance high school with your career?

A few months ago, I passed a test that gave me my diploma. So I have officially graduated high school. Now I can work as long as the studio needs me to, and I don't have to have a teacher on set.

What do you like to do in your down time?

I love tossing the football and baseball around with my dad, and I love watching those sports too. I am also an avid video gamer.

What kind of music are you listening to at the moment?

I listen to a lot of instrumental music…like the music you hear during football highlights.
