Each of The Jonas Brothers has come a long way from their Camp Rock days, which set them up as Disney Channel heartthrobs.
Nick Jonas is now an amazing solo artist who keeps releasing hit after hit, Kevin Jonas is now married and the proud father of two little girls, and Joe is making his mark on music with his band DNCE – who have catapulted into mainstream success.
Since the band of brothers called it quits, they’ve done whatever possible to shed the former image the media had of them. Many of course have wondered how the brothers feel when they look back on this time in their lives.
Joe is addressing his feelings about looking back at his Camp Rock days and where he stands with ex, Demi Lovato in a new interview with Gotham Magazine by admitting that he actually looks at it all with a sense of humor.
“There’s moments where I look back and I have to laugh. I don’t really want to hide anything from my past, but I easily could have done with a few less hairstyles back in the day. Other than that, I’m really proud of everything. I grew so much from it,” he admitted.
One thing Joe admits he will probably never get used to, is everyone’s obsession with him and Demi, especially when it comes to what his opinion is on whom she is dating. He addressed the rumors and speculation by saying, “I think you never get used to it. You get a little better at it when there’s rumors or you have to deal with random drama—[like] old exes that are dating somebody new. I try to just focus on the good stuff and not obsess over it. It’s not as bad as it used to be.”
“On the Demi thing, I see she’s happy and I’m happy for her. I met Bomba. He’s a good guy,” he continued to say.
Of course Joe’s approval of Demi’s new guy has been noticed before by fans, thanks to the power of social media. Though it is nice to hear the “Cake By the Ocean,” singer publicly sing his praises for his ex and good friend.
