Lea Michele has revealed that the person she turned to after hearing of boyfriend Cory Monteith’s death was Glee guest star Kate Hudson.
In a new interview with Elle Lea recalls: "I called her and said, I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters], she was like, 'Oh, you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing."
Kate’s hospitality didn’t stop there – she also let Lea’s extended family stay with her as well.
"She let my family stay there, and any of my friends. She made sure that in the refrigerator were my favorite juices," Lea says. "I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me."
Lea also admitted that Cory’s death is something she has to deal with on a daily basis admitting, "Now that I'm in this position, you can choose to rise, which is what I'm going to try to do."
"It's very hard and you have to be very strong to come out of this alive, but I think by doing the best for myself, by showing that you don't have to lose yourself, maybe someone else will feel some sort of strength or comfort."
Lea and Cory confirmed they were dating early 2012 but Lea has recently revealed when the romance really started – at the beginning of Glee! But, according to Lea, “no one really caught on” at the time”.
Years later Lea and Cory made their romance public. “You wanna do this?” Lea recalled. “We knew.”
