UPDATED: Katy Perry has joined the Nicki vs. Taylor Twitter feud

Taylor Swift has now apologised so we can all just be happy.

UPDATE: 24.07

WAR IS OVER. Taylor Swift has officially apologised for this whole hoo-ha (via Twitter, obvs) to which Nicki Minaj graciously accepted.

But because some people just enjoy ~DrAmA~, attention has now turned to Ed Sheeran and comments he made about the beef to Australia’s Daily Telegraph.

“I think everyone knows that Taylor has done nothing wrong in that situation,” he said.

“She didn’t nominate herself for the awards. It’s not her fault, she just made some good videos and people think they’re good. And I think the Minaj point is a bit redundant, her point is that you have to be skinny and white to get a video of the year nomination but Beyoncé’s 7/11 is in there and that is celebrating the female figure in every form.”

But after Taylor admitted she’d made a mistake and apologised, Ed said he’d been misquoted.

We’ll let you make up your own minds about that one.

Now, let’s all move on and be happy, people. Right before a quick mention of this:

Katy Perry has popped her sassy two cents into the current Twitter battle between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift (oh and somehow-not-sure-why but Kim Kardashian) and the internet is barely hanging on by a thread.

If you’ve been living in a disconnected world free from celebrity feuds for the past 24 hours, (good on you) you can check out all the drama from yesterday’s public battle ~here~.

So basically, Nicki threw the first load of shade and Taylor responded with her “but I’m your friend and I love you” response and after Nicki totes denied the shade ever being thrown, but still favourited a whole lot of tweets directly dissing TayTay.

Wait, whut...

Once things then calmed down a bit, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars lightened the mood with this beauty:

But this morning the pitch forks from the fortress of Katy Perry were out when she threw THIS whopper of a tweet into the twittersphere clearly directed at Miss Swift.

It’s a tad complicated to read out loud, basically Katy’s saying that Taylor is a hypocrite for standing up for women when she’s released a song –Bad Blood – that’s about a fight with another female.

Oh lawdy.

You could argue for years over who's being the worst friend in this whole pickle-of-a-situation, but given that she’s not really relevant to the VMA drama that’s going on, we feel like katy probs shoulda kept that tweet to herself, or you know, messaged Taylor in private.

Katy then tried to ~change the subject~ by insisting that Rihanna’s latest music video should have been nominated for a VMA award.

TBH we’re struggling to keep up, so we’re going to go and lie down for a bit to catch our breath.
