It’s a big day for Kendall Jenner, you guys! The model, who has been slammed for not being a "real supermodel" by some who shall not be named, has landed the September cover of US Vogue, the fashion industry’s most important issue.
And while she looks so damn pretty on the cover, the best bit about this whole thing is her interview, in which she gets super-real about what it’s like to have a transgender parent.
The most controversial bit of the interview might be when Kendall says her mum Kris Jenner knew her dad Caitlyn – then Bruce – was trans from “their third date.”
“My mum knew,” she said. “She knew since their third date.”
This contradicts what Kris has previously said – she claims she didn’t know until many years after they met.
Kendall also gets real about what it’s like to have a trans parent. She said her relationship with her dad post-transition is “super normal” and “not weird at all”, but it has also been “really hard” at times.
"Sometimes I look at a picture of my dad when she was a guy, and it makes me a little sad — I get emotional," she admitted.
"You have to get past it — you've got a new person to love. It's kind of a blessing in disguise — if that's not the wrong way to say it,” she continued.
“It's super-ironic to think about now, but it's something I can thank my dad for: how much of a tomboy I was.
“That's why I think the whole thing — her transition — was really hard for me because I was like, ‘But you taught me everything tomboy!'"
When the Vogue cover came out Kendall took to Instagram, and you can tell she’s just a tiny bit excited.
