Kim Kardashian says she's not a feminist

At a conference for female bloggers. Face palm.

In a move that has us shaking our damn heads, Kim Kardashian said she’s not a feminist… at a conference for female bloggers and online writers.

When asked the question at the annual Blogger conference in LA over the weekend, Kim said she is not.

“I don't think that I am. I don't like labels. I do what makes me happy and I want women to be confident," Kim said, reports E News.

Sure, okay.

“I am so supportive of women. I love nothing more than when I'm with all my friends and I love to support women but I'm not a 'free the nipple-type" of girl.”

Anyway. Let's continue.

“I'm not about the labels. Just be you and be confident in you."

Obviously, everyone is entitled to their own point of view when it comes to feminism. But it’s a shame that Kim, arguably one of the most influential women in public life right now, didn’t use that question to add something more to the discussion about the rights of women and girls around the world - instead of just talking about how she's happy and confident and other people should be, too. Is that so much to ask? ~Heavy sigh~
