She’s had to deal with nasty online trolls since she first stepped into the limelight in her early teens, but Madison Beer revealed that while it still affects her, she’s gotten much better at dealing with cyber bullies.
“Just because people follow you on Instagram, they think they know you personally but they don’t,” she told PEOPLE. “But it’s never gotten easier or less. It’s just something I’ve been able to navigate and convert into positive energy.”
She also revealed that as she’s gotten older, she’s discovered that people are going to find something to hate on either way, so it’s better to ignore them than to dwell on what they have to say.
“People say I’m too skinny, but if I gain a little weight they say I look chubby,” Beer explains. “You can’t please everyone. As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters. I don’t give a s—. I don’t change myself for other people.”
You go, girl!
