Margot Robbie’s character in Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn, wears some seriously skimpy red-and-blue short-shorts in the film. But it turns out the hot pants might be bigger or smaller depending on where you see the movie.
Website Comicbook.com has pointed out that a trailer screened to the film industry at Comic Con in San Diego last month shows Margot in a tinier pair of shorts than an earlier version of the trailer, which shows her behind a lot more covered up. You can see the comparison below, and in this video.
Margot was asked about the discrepancy (too early to call it #hotpantsgate?) in an interview with Nova, and the actress said she wasn’t sure if there’d been any post-production digitally altering.
“I didn’t know about that… having been there on the day, they were very small — but wow, I wonder if they did?” she replied. “That would be extensive photoshopping to do.”
Given the obvious difference it seems there has been some airbrushing at play. A good reminder that so much of what we see on screen just ain't real.
