If you in any way, shape or form follow Miley Cyrus, you’d know she’s obsessed with her pet dogs (we are too, tbh - they're just so cute), so it was no surprise to see that the latest in her huge collection of ink was a tribute to one of her many pooches - this one of her Rough Collie named Emu!
In a post put up on tattoo artist Dr. Woo’s Instagram is a teeny tiny tattoo that’s a pretty spot-on representation of the pup, alongside the caption:
“Placed a young Emu on his mom @mileycyrus #emufanclub”
It’s one of many pet dedications immortalised on the We Can’t Stop singer’s body, with her late dog Floyd, who passed away after being attacked by coyotes in 2014, memorialised in a rib tattoo.
In fact, it was Emu who was welcomed into the Cyrus clan following her beloved pup’s death.
At the time she said,
“Time to start making Emu accounts smilers. He's here and here to stay. I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago. Been keepin him a secret cause sometimes I'm weird like that.”
"It's taken some time to be ready for this next step and loving again,” she added.
"There will never be anyone like Floyd. There was a bond that was so deep it's irreplaceable but that's not what I am trying to do. Never will I replace Floyd and that's something I had to take time to understand."
"We had a very special memorial service for Floyd and I felt my angel Floydy give Emu his blessing. I prayed to Floyd to just give him a touch of his awesomeness and he has. He is so special and different than my baby Floyd and I think Floyd did that on purpose."
Is someone cutting onions in here? ‘Cos we’re defs not crying rn…
