Niall Horan says collaborating with the One Direction guys would be ‘weird'

Y tho?

The boys of One Direction have been collectively #KillingIt on their solo endeavours, but don’t hold your breath waiting for Niall Horan to join forces with them in collaborative projects any time soon.

Speaking to ET Canada, when asked whether he’d be willing to work with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson or Liam Payne, he revealed that while it’s not ruled out completely, it would be a bit odd considering they’re all working on their own projects.

“Can’t rule anything out really, can you? I suppose right now, it would be a bit weird.”

Niall did, however, open up about potential future collaboration projects he has in the works.

"I have a couple of songs that could potentially be something like that. Fingers crossed – I can get to play some stuff to people and see what happens, but the whole idea of collaboration, you know, it's great – because like, I don't think there's a lot of it going on in our world anyway. Not as much as there should be," he revealed.

As for when his eagerly anticipated album will be dropping?

"I'm thinkin' October, November time. There's a lot of stuff going on at the minute, promo-wise around the world. Performing things down in Australia, and it's all crazy at the minute. So when I get time to stop that – or when that stops – I'll then release it. I'm really looking forward to it," he said, adding, "I did release a song last September and then release another one now, and it's been like – kind of a year campaign nearly. But the way I said it to everyone – I kind of just want to do everything at my own pace and not rush everything out 'cause at the end of the day I am 23 so I have loads of time."
