Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei quits Twitter over alleged Camila Cabello feud

By Sammy Stewart

In case you weren't aware, Fifth Harmony are kinda in the middle of a war. Well, sorta.

It all started when Normani Kordei was asked to describe the best attributes of the girls. For Ally Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah-Jane Hansen, Normani had HEAPS to say. As for Camila's positive aspects?

"Camila… She is… let’s see. Camila. Very quirky. Yeah, very quirky. Cute," Nomani said, which immediately caused the fandom to think there was something dodgy going down between the two pop kweens.

Now we don't know about you, but that's not particularly shady...

Since the interview aired, Normani has been the victim of endless internet abuse. On August 5th she took to Twitter to deny such a feud and “address foolishness manufactured by those that have absolutely no idea what goes on” however, it still didn't stop the hate.

Instead, Normani decided to totally quit Twitter altogether, and left THIS final note:

I am taking a break from Twitter for now. Over the past four years of being in the public eye I’ve learned to grow a thick skin to critics and those who may not like me. I’ve never been one to deny anyone of their opinions, but over the course of this last week and especially over the last 48 hours I’ve not just been cyber bullied, I’ve been racially cyber bullied with tweets and pictures so horrific and racially charged that i can’t subject myself any longer to the hate.

I’m not the first black female celebrity to deal with this and I’m sure I won’t be the last. I want to take this moment to say love goes much further than hate in this world. Hiding behind a computer and putting people down, especially for the colour of their skin doesn’t make you cool, it makes you a coward! SMH.

So how has Camila dealt with all this backlash? The 5H powerhouse has since jumped onto Twitter expressing her anger towards this spiralled situation.

YAS gurl.
