Ruby Rose says she needed to get hazed to join Taylor's squad

If you’ve ever wondered exactly how close Ruby Rose is with Taylor Swift, the answer is: very.

Like so close that Ruby talks to Taylor “about everything and everyone” – at least that’s what she said in an interview with news.com.au while promoting her upcoming action movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage (how’s that for a movie title). So yeah, Tay has given her seal of approval when it comes to Ruby’s on-again (and very sexy) relationship with Jess Origliasso from The Veronicas.

And for anyone who’s ever wondered what someone has to do to get in to Taylor’s squad, Ruby told Kyle and Jackie O this morning, “Yeah, you get this whole hazing thing, you have to do initiation, it was pretty intense – it was much more training than I’ve ever had to do with any of my films. Axe-throwing, you name it, I had to do it to be in Tay’s squad.”

OK so she was actually just kidding, but imagine if there was an initiation process involved with joining the squad, which Ruby says is something the media made up, not Taylor: “I don’t even think that she calls it that, I think it’s just something the media started and ran with, because it sounds kind of interesting.”

She also confirmed what everyone knows: Taylor is a world-class pal. “She’s just an amazing friend, and an amazingly supportive one at that, and I feel very, very thankful to have her in my life. I do laugh when people are like, ‘Oh, you’re in her squad,’ and I forget that’s what people call it. And I go, ‘Oh gosh, do I have duties today?’”

TBH if there was a real hazing process, we’d practise our axe-throwing to get in.
