Our boy has done it again!
Troye Sivan, AKA the lord of awesomeness, has always been a ~major~ advocate for LGBTQ rights.
From calling out the Prime Minister on anti-gay laws to expressing his sympathy for victims of hate crimes, the South-African born singer loves to use his influential position to make a difference.
Now, the 21-year-old has sent out a super important message via his music.
The cheeky singer just dropped the visuals for his sweet track ’Heaven’, which features footage of historic LGBT moments throughout history.
“We have always been here. we will always be here,” Troye said in a statement. “This video is dedicated to all who’ve come before me and fought for our cause and those who now continue the fight. in dark and light times, let’s love forever. love, troye.”
Preach it, brother!
Erm, does Troye's speech remind you of something?
Or someone, rather?
Yep, his ~inspirational~ speech was Dumbledore AF and we loved it!
The timing of the release that Troye describes as ”the most important song” he’s ever written couldn't be more perf!
The vid lands the day after the swearing in of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence, who previously signed a “religious freedom law” allowing businesses to deny service of LGBTQ peeps (!!!), among various other messed up things.
It's like the IRL Dumbledore (Troye Sivan) vs. Lord Voldermort (Donald Trump)!
Bask in the epicness of Troye's ~poignant~ video below and srsly have a think about the incredible message he's sending out.
