Girls, you're putting your bra on so totally wrong

Appaz there's a right way to do it.

By Grace Back

Despite having put one on almost erryday, chances are that we're putting our bras on wrong.

Now, we thought the same thing too - since when was there a right way to put your bra on? According to Bustle who spoke to a lingerie expert on the subject, we could all do with being a bit more clued up about our underwear and the effect it can have on our health.

According to experts, we should all be applying the 'scoop and swoop' method when getting dressed in the morning.

The method is as follows:

1. Loosen the straps before you put on the bra.

2. Place the bra on the right hook - this should start on the loosest and move up the older the bra gets (as it stretches over time).

3. Tighten the straps.

4. Scoop up each breast by placing your hands inside the cups and lifting up and out.

The idea with this method is that the underwire sits properly at the bottom base of the breast, giving it the support and shape that is required. If the breasts are placed incorrectly in the cups of the bra, it won't be able to do its job and could even mean they are pushed downwards and compressed.

Who would have thunk it?
