Father’s day can be a very tough day for anyone who has lost their dad. It was especially tough for Bindi Irwin, who posted a touching tribute to her father Steve Irwin, almost nine years to the day after his tragic death. She was just eight years old at the time.
Bindi posted an image to Instagram of Steve Irwin with a crocodile, accompanied by the caption: “Thinking about home today. Father's Day is today in Australia and everyone is celebrating at Australia Zoo. It's such a special time of year, I hope everyone who comes to the zoo today is able to enjoy it with our gorgeous animals. No matter where I am in the world, this day means such a lot to me. My heart forever lives @AustraliaZoo - just like Dad's always did."
There is no doubt in our minds that Bindi has grown into an intelligent and inspiring young woman. We’re sure Steve would be so incredibly proud of her work fulfilling his legacy and carrying on his passion for protecting Australian wildlife.
