This new Facebook Messenger update will give you MSN Messenger vibes

Who cares about chatting with your friends in a group message when you can start a chatroom with absolute randoms?! RIGHT?!

Well, there's speculation that the Facebook Messenger app is about to launch a new feature called ~rooms~ and do we even need to explain it further? We've all experienced Habbo Hotel (haven't we?)

It's a throwback to a time where our opening line wasn't "hello" but "ASL?!" (Age, sex, location - the important stuff).

According to TechCrunch, a developer has discovered that the Rooms project would allow friends and strangers to chat via public FB Messenger groups.

Although Facebook hasn't confirmed this feature, they have said that "We often run small tests — nothing else to share beyond that." So we guess only time will tell...

Til then, you can still chat to randoms on like, Omegle/Chatroulette if you really wish to ¯_(ツ)_/¯...
