Watch the first glorious trailer for Disney’s new princess movie, Moana

She's defs our new idol.

Ever since Disney’s announced its first Polynesian princess ever, Moana, back in 2014, we’ve been BEYOND excited to see a trailer. Two years, and a series of amazing stills later, and the time has finally come – woop and yay!

Starring Auli’I Cravalho (Moana) and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Maui), the teaser trailer introduces you to the muscular demi-god, Maui. Covered in impressive tatts and holding a fishing hook that can catch the sun, it’s safe to say Maui is probs the most ~bad~ Disney character we’ve ever seen.

But Moana’s not your typical Disney princess either, with the trailer showing her looking fierce as hell spear fishing like a pro <33

Together with Moana and her adorably fluffy pet pig (which we totally want btw), the two set sail across the South Pacific in search of a fabled island.

In addition to a killer cast and storyline, the trailer also indicates this move is gonna have some amazing tunes to rival Elton John’s Lion King. Moana includes music by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who FYI just won the award of Best Original Score at the Tony awards over the weekend. So there's that too.

Moana is set to hit cinemas on November 23 - meaning we'll also see a couple more sneak peeks between now and then.
