Everything you need to know about the fancy new Google phone

Eat yo heart out, Apple.

By Grace Back

Google has officially entered the phone game. They have just announced the launch of The Pixel and Pixel XL, which are set to compete against the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Lettuce break down some of the features of The Pixel that are sure to blow ya god damn mind...

1. The Pixel name will replace Google's Nexus phone brand

If you were a Nexus lover, this is a ~sad~ day for you. The Pixel will officially take over the Nexus name.

2. The Pixel and Pixel XL are the first phone with the Google Assistant ~built-in~

For those who don't know, Google Assistant is the arch nemesis to Apple's Siri (we bet they're secret, star cross'd lovers). Google says it allows users to have a “natural conversation” to access answers or to easily get tasks done while on the go. So...basically it's just Google's version of Siri.

3. The Pixel features a 12.3 megapixel camera that is just better

The high-tech camera is said to be lightening fast and easy-to-use. Users will be able to take action shots in real time with “Smartburst”, which takes a “rapid-fire sequence of shots and automatically selects the best one.”

The camera also features new exposure controls that allow users to capture “dramatic landscapes or make faces glow.”

This is going to seriously up the #selfie game.

4. The minor details you're bound to fall in luuuurve with

Battery Life: Google says the Pixel has 7 hours of battery life, and you can get a full charge in just 15 minutes! UMMM, HELLO?! This is #revolutionary.

Storage: One word — UNLIMITED. Google is allowing free, unlimited storage for full resolution images and videos. SCREAMING!

Headphones: Google opted to keep the traditional headphone jack in its new Pixel phone, (unlike a certain ~other~ phone brand we know...)

5. When can I get this godamn phone?

Pre-orders for the Pixel began on October 4th, so if you're over your iPhone and down with the Pixel it's #OFFICIALLY available now...
