WHA?! The ‘i' in iPhone/iMac/iPad/iPod actually stands for something?!?!

Please take a seat and get ready to have your whole WORLD turned upsidedown.

If, like us, you didn’t really think too much about the ‘i’ in iPhone/iMac/iPad/iPod, other than it being a fancy pants way of Apple making everything sound iAwesome, than take a sip of your cordial and get ready to have your MIND BLOWN.

Back in the retro days when Steve Jobs was still heading up Apple, he introduced the original iMac in a presentation. The iMac was the first Apple product to be labelled with the lowercase i and he explained why...

"An iMac comes from the excitement of the marriage of the internet with the simplicity of Macintosh. We are targeting this for the number-one use that consumers tell us they want a computer for, which is to get on the internet."

Hear that? i = internet

Internet + Macintosh = iMac

Done, just done.
