It's a sad day for Harry Potter fans everywhere.
After writing the play Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, J.K .Rowling has confirmed she is totally finished expanding the Harry Potter universe. Forever.
Chatting to Reuters at the Saturday premiere of the play in London, J.K. explained why she had to wrap things up: "He goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we're done."
"This is the next generation, you know. So, I'm thrilled to see it realised so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now."
Thankfully, HP fans, there is still some more ~mAgIc~ left in the world. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, aka a ~prequel~ to the Harry Potter series, will be hitting cinemas in November this year.
So hang in there, magic ones.
