These microwave mug snacks will have your inner lazy drooling

They're dangerously easy to make.

A long, hard day in front of the couch in your pj pants can get you hunnnngry. But who the hell has time to whip up a gourmet meal when you have a whole series on Netflix to get through?

Not to mention you have picky tastebuds that demand deliciousness and not some boring old baked-beans-on-toast meal.

Well these microwavable mug snacks are SERIOUSLY REVOLUTIONARY! We apologise in advance to all the mums who will start noticing all their mugs are going missing.

Chocolate peanut butter cake

You’ll need:

For the cake:

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons peanut butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons choc chips

For the mousse:

1 tablespoon cream cheese
1 tablespoon peanut butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons whipped cream
1 tablespoon icing sugar
Hot caramel topping (to serve)

Directions:

1. For the cake, melt the butter in a small bowl and stir in the peanut butter.
2. Put the vanilla extract, egg and sugar in the mug and mix together until they’re all combined.
3. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder in another bowl and add this to the mug.
4. Pour the peanut butter mixture in and mix well.
5. Stir in the choc chips.
6. Put in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until you think it’s ready. Ours was ready in 1 minute.
7. For the mousse, mix together the cream cheese, peanut butter and vanilla extract in a bowl. Then fold in the whipped cream. Sift the icing sugar and fold in gently.
8. Top the cake with the mousse and pour some hot caramel topping on top. Yum!

Seriously drooling everywhere RN.

Cheesecake cup

You’ll need:

2 tablespoons cream cheese
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 egg
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1 small tub passionfruit yoghurt
2 tablespoons chopped macadamias
1 punnet blueberries

Directions:

1. Mix everything except the yogurt, macadamias and blueberries together in the mug and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and put back in for 60 seconds, stirring every 15 seconds so the egg doesn’t curdle.
2. Refrigerate for about 2 hours or until set, then top with passion fruit yogurt, macadamias and blueberries.

Okay so this isn't microwaved but you get the gist. Still delish.

Nachos in a mug

You’ll need:

Nachos:

A handful of corn chips
1 tablespoon shredded tasty cheese
1 ½ tablespoons salsa
2 tablespoons refried kidney beans
1 tablespoon finely chopped spring onion

Guacamole:

1 avocado
1 small red chilli chopped finely (to taste – or, if you don’t like chilli don’t use any ~DuUuUh!~)
1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions:

1. Line the outside of the mug with corn chips, then add kidney beans.
2. Add 1 tablespoon salsa and top with cheese.
3. Put in the microwave for 1 minute or until the cheese is melted.
4. Add the rest of the salsa and spring onion.
5. Cut the avocado into small chunks, add coriander and lemon juice. Mix well. Top with chilli.

Nutella mug cake - yea we went there

You’ll need:

4 tablespoons self-raising flour
4 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons Nutella
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons mini marshmallows (to serve)
1 tablespoon whipped cream (to serve)

Directions:

1. Combine all the ingredients in the mug. Whisk with a fork until smooth.
2. Microwave for 1 ½ minutes.
3. Top with marshmallows and whipped cream.
