This mum put a whole new meaning to 'overprotective' (and we can relate)

I think it's safe to say my mum doesn't trust me.

We’ve all heard stories about helicopter parents and thanked our lucky stars that ours only ever asked for a call every now and then, but this mum from Huron, Ohio, takes overprotective parenting to a whooole new level.

Kaelyn Demmon, 18, spilled to Buzzfeed just how OTT her mum Heather goes when it comes to making sure where she is – including requesting selfies at random times.

"We were having a movie night at my house before I left for college," Kaelyn said of the girl’s night she planned with her bestie, Stevie Holbrook – but Heather was super suss on the whole sitch.

Not satisfied with the initial snap, Heather asked Kaelyn to take ANOTHER – this time with the lights on, AND posing in a specific position.

It’s a pretty fool proof (albeit full-on) strategy, with Kaelyn saying her mum’s caught he rout lying previously.

"There've been times when I've said I'm at Stevie's when I'm at a bonfire or something."

Heather, on the other hand, reckons she only asked for more selfies while she was with Stevie simply for the LOLs.

“I knew she was where she said she was, but it was more fun to keep her doing different things," Heather said.

Meanwhile, other peeps across social media can totally relate to Kaelyn’s sitch, with some even revealing they had no idea that it wasn’t something all parents did.
