Pokémon Go has sort of taken over the world and the Police are worried

Risking it all to catch 'em all.

If you're a human that exists on planet Earth and you have a smartphone, chances are your life has been taken over by the Pokémon Go app.

If not, then congrats on having the willpower because the addiction to this game is #REAL!

Us at DOLLY HQ just have to look out the window and witnessed a bunch of people walking aimlessly around the streets staring into their phones.

NGL it sort of looks like an IRL game of The Sims, but unlike The Sims the risks are pretty serious. So serious the police are legit worried.

In the game, smartphone cameras capture whatever scene is happening around the player as Pokemon characters appear on the screen ready to be captured.

Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle is worried people are forgetting their surroundings because they're too focused on the game.

"It's really taken off but it's taken people's attention away from trams and traffic," he told The Age

"People are not watching out for cars. I know Pokemon Go is very addictive but when you're looking at nothing but your mobile phone in a busy street, that puts you at risk."

But there's not only the worry about people walking INTO cars, but drivers driving INTO people. Ugh.

A police spokeswoman says: "Driving is a complex task that requires full concentration, it is essential drivers minimise the risk of distraction in their vehicle."

Basically, don't be an idiot. It's just a game. Albeit, a really, really fun game. Just don't die trying to catch 'em all.

Now, here are some of the best memes that have come with Pokemon Go's world domination. Enjoy.

Leave it to the internet to always deliver the funnies.
