Tales of Beedle and Bard book sold for $700,000

Sure, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the newest and greatest thing to come from the Harry Potter universe, but you may remember ~another~ book from the series.

Remember when Dumbledore died (sobs), and he left the wizards fairy-tale The Tales of Beedle and Bard to Hermione?

It's the story that explains the deathly hallows, and tbh it's interseting af.

Well, J.K. Rowling herself has handwritten and hand-drawn a very rare copy of the book, and it just sold for £368,750 ($700,000 AUD) at an auction.

It is the only book that was sold, but she made six others for people involved in the existence of Harry Potter. Especially for Barry Cunningham, the publisher who wanted her so-called "children's book" Harry Potter over other publishing houses.

"To Barry, the man who thought an overlong novel about a boy wizard in glasses might just sell … THANK YOU." Rowling wrote on the inside.
