She won us over as the voice of Disney’s latest boss babe, Moana, and now 16-year-old Auli'i Cravalho has a new and exciting venture.
According to Deadline, the Hawaiian teen has been cast in the upcoming NBC pilot Drama High.
The series is based on a true story and is about a group of talented high school students who become very involved in the performing arts thanks to their ~amaze~ drama teacher.
Jason Katims (the man behind Friday Night Lights and Parenthood) is the mastermind behind the show, and the show is being produced by Jeffrey Seller, a producer of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway smash Hamilton.
So it's basically Glee 2.0!
The exciting announcement comes just days after Auli'i took to The Oscars stage to slay a performance of the catchy track from the flick, ’How Far I’ll Go.’
Moana was the first role for the talented teen and we’re sure she’s going to rock her epic new venture!
