PSA: there's a deadly disease spreading throughout the world of iPhone's that may end up killing your little buddy, and unfortunately not even those damn geniuses at the Genius Bar can help you.

The "Touch Disease" which tech blog iFixit has named it, is a manufacturing defect in some iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices which ~kills~ the touch screen, rendering it unresponsive :(.

Symptoms include a flickering grey bar at the top of the screen.

Isn't that juuuust great?!

Experts have revealed some cases are linked to general wear and tear, so YOU'RE ALL AT RISK!

Unfortunately, MacWorld reports replacing the screen won't fix the problem.

MacWorld also admitted a third-party repair store may be able to fix the problem, but once you go to a store that isn't Apple you forfeit your warranty. Risky biznezzzz.

The new iPhone 7 could not come out fast enough - but hey - maybe this has been Apple's plan all along.
