Thankfully, us little bloodsucking fans out there have some ~hope~. Anne Rice, the OG Stephanie Meyer who was behind the v, v sexy vampire movie and 1974 book Interview with the Vampire has announced that there is talks to turn her creation into a television series!

Anne wrote on Facebook:

"The theatrical rights to the Vampire Chronicles are once again in my hands, free and clear! I could not be more excited about this! --- A television series of the highest quality is now my dream for Lestat, Louis, Armand, Marius and the entire tribe. In this the new Golden Age of television, such a series is THE way to let the entire story of the vampires unfold."

For those of you unfamiliar, Interview with the Vampire, follows the story of French vampire Lestat de Lioncourt and his fellow vampires over the course of 11 books and counting.

Need anymore convincing? The original film starred a young Brad Pitt (oof and damn) as well as Tom Cruise. So fear not, folks. We'll have our Damon and Stefan replacements in no time.

Dealing with the loss of another TV show? Here are a few more suggestions that might help you find your new obsession.

If you loved Revenge, you should watch Good Behaviour

TBH we don't know if we'll ever get over the violent axing of Revenge, but there is a new TV show to look out for with an even more bad-ass leading lady.

Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery has ditched her lace and corsets for a gun an attitude as Letty, a thief and con artist. Unlike Revenge, this one's A LOT steamier, there's a hot male lead you're gonna crush on straight away (cue Juan Diego) and a story line that will make you wanna binge all day long.

If you love The Bachelor, you should watch Unreal

This show is basically what happens ~behind~ the scenes of fictional dating show Everlasting.

Just like your fave, it features a group of gorgeous women, a hot male suitor an the addition of a crazy AF (but brilliant) producer who will literally do anything for a good story line. Hey, if you're missing out on your weekly love fest, check this one out.

If you love Gilmore Girls you should watch This Is Us

Feels? CHECK. Amazing female leads? CHECK? Milo Ventimiglia? DING DING DING!

This show hasn't hit Australian shores yet, but over in the US it's getting a whole lotta buzz. Basically - without giving too much away- it's about a couple in the 1970s with their three adorable kids and has a heap of flashbacks throughout their lives and now. You're gonna need the tissues for this one.
