The Washington Post has reported on what exactly happens when a female astronaut gets her period in space, which is GREAT because we were totally just wondering that.
For all those aspiring astronauts, Rhea Seddon - an astronaut herself - has some assuring words.
"Periods in space, are just like periods on the ground. Don't worry about it."
To prevent the ~flow~ in space, most female astronauts take daily contraceptive pills before and during the flight to have no period whatsoever.
But just to wrap things up, women who menstruate in space defs don't need to worry about floating leakages (soz).
