I always feel alone — am I depressed?

Thought of the week:If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.
Dear Dolly InnerGirl,
Dear DOLLY InnerGirl,
Is it okay to feel alone when there are people around you? I have friends, but I never view myself as an equal to them. A few years ago we moved to Australia from England and I've just started to get to know people. To make it worse, my parents told me we have to move back. I was bullied at school in England and I feel unsafe there. Should I tell my parents how I feel? Am I depressed?
Firstly, can we say how amazing it is that you had the strength to write in about your issue. You seem to have a very strong sense of your inner self, and you are able to express that very clearly.
It's quite common for peeps to be in a room full of people, yet still feel alone. It's kinda like feeling that you don't belong, huh? But that is just a thought, and a thought can be changed.
Think of a tree in a forest. It grows magnificently without anyone ever seeing it. The tree just does it's own thing. It is with other trees that are doing their tree thing too.
It's the same for you as a human being. Celebrate that you have this gift of life. When you have the inner knowing that you are on a mission, people will react to you differently.
The bullies will look for someone who doesn't feel a sense of purpose. You have made friends with the most important person in your life: you. Treat yourself as you would your best friend. Say kind things to yourself as you would say to your friends. Look after your body. When we take good care of ourselves, the world seems to be a better place.
